O&M & the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning!
Our staff were all too keen to dust off their aprons and unleash their inner Delia, with cakes and assorted pastries being produced on a grand scale. It was then down to all at O&M to eat the delicious items on sale in order to raise dough for a good cause. It really was worth the weight!
The fine fayre available included both sweet and savoury offerings ranging from scores of voluptuous cup cakes to a drizzle of hot and spicy chorizo infused sausage rolls.
During the day we held a couple of competitions in order to raise more funds:
- Dunk The Biscuit - A culinary version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey - won by our Senior Analyst Liz Weymouth.
- A Berry Good Guess - A puntastic game where surprisingly the aim was to guess the amount of berries within a latticed pie - yep, Liz won that as well!
Well done to Liz for battering the competition. She certainly earned her crust and left her contemporaries looking glazed.
The amount raised by the sale of our wares was topped by a generous donation from our Director Jason Wykes which firmly put the cherry on top of the cake.
In total we raised £945 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a great effort by all which is proof that O&M Pension Solutions can step up to the plate and rise to the occasion in order to benefit a good cause.
We would like to wish Macmillan and their fellow supporters the best of luck on Friday 27th of September which is the official day of the World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Now on to the diet...
